Workshop on Neutrons in Biology: Emergent Topics | Shull Wollan Center

Workshop Website: https://conference.sns.gov/event/190/

The Shull Wollan Center at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), in collaboration with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UT), will hold a 1-day workshop to launch the Neutron-Based Biology Initiative (NBBI). The purpose of the workshop is to engage UT faculty and students and inform them about the usefulness of ORNL’s advanced neutron scattering facilities for research in the biological sciences. Following the workshop, NBBI will sponsor a monthly seminar series at UT, starting in January 2020, to foster relationships that will lead to neutron-based, collaborative research between UT and ORNL in the biological sciences.

Poster session: Graduate students and postdocs will have the opportunity to present their science on a poster. The three posters judged as best will be recognized at the conclusion of the workshop.

Registration is free, but you must register in advance if you plan to attend the workshop.
