Visiting Researcher Fellowship

The Shull Wollan Center Visiting Researcher Fellowship is designed to provide support for extended visits (from one to six months) by established scientists, early career scientists, and postdoctoral researchers who will be participating in research, training, and education opportunities at the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.  In addition to workspace and programmatic/technical support, recipients of the Shull Wollan Center Visiting Researcher Fellowship are awarded a monthly allowance to help offset out-of-pocket expenses related to residing in the local area during the fellowship.

Applicants for the Visiting Researcher Fellowship must be sponsored by Shull Wollan Center Research Affiliates from both the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Application Process

Individuals interested in applying for the Shull Wollan Center Visiting Researcher Fellowship must submit the following documents at least 3 months before the proposed date of arrival (all materials must be in English): 

  1. Visiting Researcher Application Form

  2. Description of Research Project

  3. A complete Curriculum Vitae (CV)

  4. Letter(s) of Recommendation from Shull Wollan Center Research Affiliate Sponsor(s)
